Italia Men’s U20 Begins European Championship Pool Play With Poland

The Italia Men’s U20 lacrosse team made history this week as they stepped onto the international stage for the first time. This landmark moment was marked by their debut match against Poland in pool play, a game that ended in a 9-3 defeat for the Italian side. Despite the loss, the occasion remains a significant milestone in Italian lacrosse history.

Poland jumped out to a 2-0 lead after 12 and a half minutes, but the Azzurri would fight back to narrow the gap and go into half time down 4-2. A strong third quarter propelled Poland to a 8-3 lead and Italy would remain scoreless in the fourth.

The Azzurri’s next game is scheduled for Sunday, July 21 at 5:30 PM vs. Czechia.
