Men’s ELC and Women’s World U20 Rosters Announced
Italia Lacrosse is pleased to announce the final teams participating in the European Men’s U20 Championship and the U20 Women’s World Championship. In a departure from previous years, World Lacrosse and the ELF have merged the U19 and U21 competitions into a single U20 event.
The U20 Men’s European Championship 2024, set to take place from July 19-27 in Wroclaw, Poland, will be a historic milestone for the first Italian Under 20 team. Following an initial selection process, this group has trained extensively over the past few months. The players will undergo one final training weekend under the guidance of Coaches Pancani and Salvago before departing for Wroclaw.
The men’s team has been placed in Group C, alongside Israel, the Czech Republic, and host nation Poland. Their first match is scheduled for 7:00 PM local time on Friday, July 19, against Poland, following the opening ceremony.

U20 Women’s World Lacrosse Championship
Conversely, the 2024 U20 Women’s World Championship will take place in Hong Kong from August 15-24. This event comes a year after the Italian women’s U21 team participated in the U21 European Women’s Championship in Prague, Czech Republic. Ten of the 22 players selected by Coach Dale competed in that tournament, where they achieved an admirable eighth place finish after a narrow overtime loss to Germany in the match for seventh place.
The women’s team is also placed in Group C, alongside Australia, Mexico, New Zealand, and Scotland. Their first match is set for August 15 at 2:00 PM local time against Mexico.
