New U20 Men’s Coaches And Eligibility Players

The new group of Team Managers for the men’s national teams (Giacomo Bonizzoni, Jacopo Colombo and Michele Radaelli) announces that the coaches have been selected for the new men’s U20 project that will take the national team to the next European championship to be held in Poland in Wroclaw, from 19 to 27 July 2024.

Michele Pancani and Tommaso Salvago are therefore the names chosen for this new adventure.

Please note that in order to be eligible according to the World Lacrosse rules you must verify these 2 conditions:

  1. players must be at least 16 years old the day before the start of the competition
  2. players must be born after August 31, 2003

There is also the possibility of bringing out-of-quota players (U22), as long as these conditions are verified:

  1. out-of-quota players must be born after August 31, 2001
  2. out-of-quota players must be resident in Italy and have played in the Italian league for at least 12 of the 18 pre-European months

Italia Lacrosse will announce the selection process via its website and social media channels. Normally it will consist of a series of tests or training retreats.
Italian players will be given top priority for this new project, but some exceptions may be necessary given its very recent establishment.

The player selection panel for this team must strive to get as close as possible to the minimum 90% of the roster made up of native-speaking national players raised in Italy.
